The Story Behind Skin N Lash

Sometimes, the beginning of a dream looks a little different than you expect.

My passion for skincare began with an experience I never planned for. I went in to have my eyebrows done and, after a chunk was accidentally taken out, I was offered a facial. I went through with it and found myself asking a million questions about the products, the treatments, and how everything worked. I came home and couldn’t stop talking about it with my family. They saw how passionate and curious I was and encouraged me to pursue it.

At the time, I didn’t know that I would eventually build a business around it. But it was something I could truly see myself doing.

I went on to become an esthetician and began doing lashes in 2014. I eventually built my own skincare business, which I ran for six years and absolutely loved. I loved working with people, getting to know them, and helping them feel good about themselves.

Then COVID changed everything.

Having to step away from my business was scary and left me facing a lot of unknowns. But as time passed, I realized how much I missed working with people and being my own boss. I knew I wanted to get back into business not simply to recreate what I had before, but to build something new with everything I had learned along the way.

That’s where Skin N Lash began.

My children are a huge part of what inspired me to pursue this dream again. I want to be an inspiration and a role model for them, to show them that it’s never too late to pursue something you love and that sometimes starting again is worth the risk. Their support has meant so much to me throughout this journey, and knowing they’re proud of me makes it even more meaningful.

At Skin N Lash, I believe beauty services should never be “one size fits all.” Every person’s skin, concerns, goals, and preferences are different, which is why every service is customized to the individual.

My goal is for you to feel welcome, comfortable, and relaxed from the moment you arrive. I want you to feel safe in my care and confident that you’re in good hands. Whether we’re working through your skincare concerns, creating lashes that complement your eye shape, or simply giving you a moment to relax, your needs always come first.

I also believe you should be part of the process. If you’re curious about a product, I’ll explain it. If you’re wondering why I’m using a particular treatment, I’ll walk you through it. I want you to leave not only feeling taken care of, but also understanding more about your skin and how to care for it.

I use Dermalogica, a trusted and well established professional skincare brand that shares my commitment to education, innovation, and continually improving the way we care for skin. I also believe in continuing my own education because there is always something new to learn, from products and treatments to evolving techniques and trends.

Skin N Lash is my second chapter, but it isn’t a step backward. It’s a new beginning built on years of experience, patience, passion, and a genuine love for working with people.
